This weekend we pushed out MaxGalleria 1.6, which is notable because it adds support for featured images for your galleries. This essentially lets you define a thumbnail that you can use to represent your gallery, and along with this, we added a new shortcode named that you can use to put gallery thumbnails wherever you want.

We updated MaxGalleria this weekend to v1.5.4 which had a host of fixes that we’d been working on for a while. This weekend we released a major update for anyone that has been having issues with the NextGEN importer after their update to NextGEN v2 or higher. Over the weekend we pushed out version 1.4 of MaxGalleria, which includes one major piece of new functionality – an image carousel template. This new template compliments our other templates nicely and we think customers will enjoy it.

Shortly after we released MaxGalleria 1.3, a customer reported a couple issues with one of their galleries, namely that the captions were displaying as dark text on the dark background (text should be white by default) and that a couple images that had longer captions were breaking the grid layout for the thumbnails.
