Over on our Max Foundry blog we wrote about how supporting localization is a must when releasing WordPress themes and plugins to the world. Localization is obviously very important for us with MaxGalleria because it allows us to greatly expand our reach. Naturally, we want as many people across the world to use MaxGalleria, and we can’t do that by limiting the plugin to just English-speaking customers.

Since the launch of MaxGalleria last week, we’ve gotten some great feedback from customers and naturally a couple issues that needed fixing as well. Two of these issues, misaligned image tiles and Vimeo URLs not embedding properly, have been fixed in MaxGalleria 1.1 and is now available for immediate download from your WordPress admin panel.

If you follow us and/or Smashing Magazine on Twitter, you might have seen that Smashing was doing a Twitter giveaway contest for 3 copies of MaxGalleria – Ultimate edition. It went out on Friday and ran all weekend, where people had to tweet about why they want MaxGalleria with the hashtag #smmaxgal.

We are beyond thrilled to announce that MaxGalleria, our responsive image and video gallery plugin for WordPress, is now available. MaxGalleria represents a re-thinking in how you create and manage galleries in WordPress, and we believe is a true game-changer when it comes to the state of gallery plugins in the WordPress ecosystem.
